For this painting, I switched out the big canvas for a small, homemade board and pulled my smaller, fine tip brushes from the can. I kept my focus to one area at a time, concentrating on detail as opposed to slapping color on here and there as I thought I should in keeping with the style of impressionism. This seems to have worked better for me, and I was pleased with the outcome.
